Shortbus-A Sexual Delight!

So me and Aker watched this artsy independent film called Shortbus and man was I sold in the first 15 minutes. This movie is a sex therapist's dream movie-which is funny considering one of the characters is a couple's counselor who keeps getting referred to as a sex therapist. This movie is graphic and is very eye opening. I loved that it had regular looking people in these roles and the storylines worked well individually. Together they all merged at the Shortbus-a place where sex happens everywhere! I am so going to buy this movie-or if anyone wants to get me the unrated version for my birthday that would be great too! LOL! See it and enjoy it!

My Food Salvation!

I forgot that the easiest way for me to cook lies in the frozen food aisle! I am not talking about my Lean Cuisines or Weight Watchers-I am talking about those packaged things you put in the skillet with some water. I had one tonight and it was so simple. Even though Jason's tasty treats that he made for me in Cleveland are always nice! (wink)! So now the new thing when I go grocery shopping will be picking out some of those skillet creation things to give me a variety to what some of you refer to as my cardboard food. Bon appetit!

Back Into Reading

I have found my avid reader self again! For those of you who knew me during junior high and high school you know what I was a freak of nature when it came to reading. I have ingested so many horror novels and other books that I could probably write my own series. Thanks to the library and the discovery of some great vampire series-I have come back the reading fold. Not only am I reading fiction, but also non fiction books that pertain to my sex therapy studies. Aker is the push there as she gets me the books through WSU. Currently reading a great serial killer book called HeartSick by Chelsea Cain. Plus, I am so hooked on the Undead series that I found all four books at the library and checked them all out knowing I had others I wanted to read before hand-yes, there are some OCD issues going on with this!

Perfect Weekend

That's all I can day-I had such a great weekend! The reason it was so great is that I accomplished so many things that I wanted and felt relaxed doing them and not at all rushed at all. Friday me, Mike, Amy, Jay and Chris went and saw One Missed Call which was a standard ghost story-DVD it! Me and Mike came back and watched some Drawn Together. Next morning I made it to my Drill Class and had a great workout. Had lunch with Toot and then came back here and watched Volver-she slept through it! The nerve! After she left I caught up on some DVR shows and then Christopher came over and we watched Georgia Rule-didnt like it, and Fantastic Four 2-bad writing/decent effects. After that I started reading my vampire book which I finished on Sunday. Sunday I just finished chores, book and began watching my shows that evening. This is typical Eric weekends but it all fell into place nicely this weekend. It was great!

Disney Depressing-Who Knew?

So I saw Bridge to Terabithia this weekend and I never read the book in school. It was not quite what I expected-stop reading now if you don't want this ruined for you. The girl died! I cried from her wake until the end! I was surprised Disney dealt with death like this. It was definitely not a warm and fuzzy feeling until the very end when the main boy gave his secret world to his sister. I had different expectations for what I thought the movie was about but was pleased with the sad ending. It was nice to have a good little cry.

2008 Plans

I have had some great talks with some great friends and Jason lately and I am feeling good about the direction I want to take for 2008. Here are a few of the plans I am working on in the new year.

Drink more responsibly
Read more fiction and non fiction-I recommended Mary Janice Davidson Undead Series!
Work out more and eat healthier-the catch all for everyone typically
Continue the great times with all my friends
And enjoy life as much as possible!

O.T.H Obsession Begins Again!!!

I just got the first two discs of Season 4 of One Tree Hill and I am loving it! I am on the second episode as I write this and it is so great! Peyton found out she has a brother, Deb is taking pills and carrying a gun, and the who is pregnant storyline continues. Aker loves the music on Grey's, I love the music on this show. It totally has an effect on the writing and story. You should all watch this show! I am going to be drunk with OTH and finish the whole season in three weeks since Season 5 starts in the beginning of January. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! And I think I have Jason convinced on the name Peyton for the next dog!!

Christmas Blah!

This is the first year that I have been anti Christmas. I am just not feeling it. I am done with the songs on the radio and at the mall. I am low affect to buying gifts and I am really behind which is unusual for me. People who are going crazy with gifts annoy me as I am like-why? I am just looking forward to New Year's for the next party!

Babysitting & Cookies

Friday night me, Aker, and Jason watched Will and the twins to let Sarah and Adam have a night out. Sarah ended up running late due to jury duty so half of Adam's date night was spent with the three of us and his kids. The twins were hilarious as they kept going from one of us to the next wanting us to read a book. Will was quite boisterous as well! Sarah finally got home and they got to go out. The funny thing is that, as Aker puts it, this was the easiest babysitting experience ever as the kids were in bed when they left. Jason and Aker ended up falling asleep and I watched Halloween 6.

Saturday was Jodi's cookie exchange Christmas party. Due to the weather some people whigged out but we still had a good time. There appeared to be a theme with chocolate as almost every single cookie people brought was chocolate. I was not complaining though! We also played some games which were fun and had a good time. Now I have even more cookies and calories to burn off than I did with the Cheryl and Co. cookies we got at work. The holidays-who wants to celebrate calorie intake! Anyone?

New Year-New Shows!

There is currently no end in sight to the writer's strike so most of the shows you care and love about are more than likely over for the season. However, mid season shows will be coming soon! Here are some of the selections I will be delving into come January/February:

Jericho
American Gladiators
Dirt
The Sarah Connor Chronicles

The one postive thing about the strike is that I am reading more. I just finished a great book on sex coaching which gave me a lot of good ideas for starting a private practice. If you would like to make a donation to this cause please let me know! : )
