Why! Why! Why!
Why would someone bring two 3-5 yr old kids to I Am Legend when I am watching it on my birthday? Why would someone do that to me when I turn 31? Why would they want the children to see zombies with me in a theater and kick my seat? These are the questions I ponder as I drink my birthday bottle of wine and watch Days and BB. Me and Amy went to see the movie and I almost flipped my lid on this family who would not shut their kids up. DO NOT BRING KIDS TO A PG-13 or R rated movie!!! There are movies that are made for that age!!! I tried to make verbal and behavioral cues to give them a taste of my disgust but they were not getting it. The kids would not making stop making comments and the parents were cursing at their kids!! I did not like either of these things. Amy was sensing my OCD and hearing my whispered cursings so she prompted me and we moved to a seat further up front away from the nonsense. I made sure to flip my chair in annoyance. So to any parents who are reading this-if you desperately want to see a movie that is adult oriented or scary-get a babysitter or wait to see it until you can get a babysitter!! Thank you!!

My Big Fat Pre Birthday Weekend
Yes, this weekend was really crazy! Friday started off the weekend with Jodi's birthday party where we drank, ate pizza and played 7 Deadly Sins. We all had a great time with that as there was some skin during the game. Me and Christopher were the last to go as Jodi got sick in the bathroom. Saturday Mike came over and we were supposed to watch Tamiko's kids but that did not go as planned. There was this little problem with Tamiko not making a reservation that led to her hanging out with us for a few hours. Me and Mike continued to drink and watched a tepid independent film called Scenes of a Sexual Nature. There was only one storyline that was interesting to me. Sunday I had dinner with the Triad and me and Jay consumed our usual amount of wine while I caught them up on the BB After Hours. We watched BB and Bro's and Sis's. I was not in the mood to go home so I went to Celeb's for a few beers and ran into an old gym acquaintance. It was very much like a scene you see in an indepedent movie-especially when we we t to Waffle House and me and some girl across the way kept "getting" each other. I think she knew I was eavesdropping and was trying to give me the "it's OK to laugh about what we are saying" schpiel. Today, I had lunch with Amy, got a massage, and I am currently watching Skinwalkers. Tomorrow is the big day-I am 31! And I love being in my 30's!

BB Bonanza..or why I need an Intervention
I started DVRing the after hours of BB and I need to not do it. I love this season and what happens is when I go to a certain website for primetime dish-I see spoilers for BB from the live feeds! It does not make me happy but it gives me something to taunt Jason and Tamiko with! Anyways, not only is there a one hour episode three times a week, the after hours is on every night for three hours! I have recorded the first two nights! It's all good though-I am starting to reframe in my mind and remember that I like doing other things-like watching other shows and reading. Chores can wait til chore day-Saturday. Til then, somebody help me!!!
The Drops
The last three times I have went to the store to get groceries I have dropped something. Tonight was the third time. First time I was unloading with Paris around in the garage and dropped a gallon of milk which shattered all over the garage. Paris got her calcium for the day as she happily began licking it all up while I used multiple trips from the kitchen with buckets of water to wash it out. I forgot I had a hose. Secondly, I was again unloading and I dropped a 12 pack of pop in the garage. Pop started spraying out of 6 cans all over the place. Paris again had a field day with this event. And then tonight-I was carrying a Digiorno Pizza, side salad and the milk at the store. I was perusing the wine aisle to see if I wanted to get something special for the bday party tomorrow night. As I was looking at white wines, the milk dropped from my hands and aisle 11 was tarnished with white milk everywhere. A big splash of it went on my khakis and shoes. I was not happy but I went to Dan, the Cub Foods guy who is the manager and I believe took classes with me at WSU and admitted my folly. When I was checking out with my new milk, he was joking with me about the mop not being enough. I smiled and asked him for a grilled chicken sandwich since he was taking an order from the cashier. I dont think he heard me so I left to get to my Valentine Date-DVR! WOOOHOOOO!!!

Big Brother Rocks!
I am so thrilled with the new season of BB! But I must say something about Sheila and Adam-what person matched them together? I think this was a BB set up! LOL! Anyways-I am in love with the Ohio couple! I am rooting for them all the way! The challenge was fun and I cannot wait to see how the "couples" play with each other. I am so glad I have Showtime! After hours party anyone?

Shortbus-A Sexual Delight!
So me and Aker watched this artsy independent film called Shortbus and man was I sold in the first 15 minutes. This movie is a sex therapist's dream movie-which is funny considering one of the characters is a couple's counselor who keeps getting referred to as a sex therapist. This movie is graphic and is very eye opening. I loved that it had regular looking people in these roles and the storylines worked well individually. Together they all merged at the Shortbus-a place where sex happens everywhere! I am so going to buy this movie-or if anyone wants to get me the unrated version for my birthday that would be great too! LOL! See it and enjoy it!

My Food Salvation!
I forgot that the easiest way for me to cook lies in the frozen food aisle! I am not talking about my Lean Cuisines or Weight Watchers-I am talking about those packaged things you put in the skillet with some water. I had one tonight and it was so simple. Even though Jason's tasty treats that he made for me in Cleveland are always nice! (wink)! So now the new thing when I go grocery shopping will be picking out some of those skillet creation things to give me a variety to what some of you refer to as my cardboard food. Bon appetit!
Back Into Reading
I have found my avid reader self again! For those of you who knew me during junior high and high school you know what I was a freak of nature when it came to reading. I have ingested so many horror novels and other books that I could probably write my own series. Thanks to the library and the discovery of some great vampire series-I have come back the reading fold. Not only am I reading fiction, but also non fiction books that pertain to my sex therapy studies. Aker is the push there as she gets me the books through WSU. Currently reading a great serial killer book called HeartSick by Chelsea Cain. Plus, I am so hooked on the Undead series that I found all four books at the library and checked them all out knowing I had others I wanted to read before hand-yes, there are some OCD issues going on with this!

Perfect Weekend
That's all I can day-I had such a great weekend! The reason it was so great is that I accomplished so many things that I wanted and felt relaxed doing them and not at all rushed at all. Friday me, Mike, Amy, Jay and Chris went and saw One Missed Call which was a standard ghost story-DVD it! Me and Mike came back and watched some Drawn Together. Next morning I made it to my Drill Class and had a great workout. Had lunch with Toot and then came back here and watched Volver-she slept through it! The nerve! After she left I caught up on some DVR shows and then Christopher came over and we watched Georgia Rule-didnt like it, and Fantastic Four 2-bad writing/decent effects. After that I started reading my vampire book which I finished on Sunday. Sunday I just finished chores, book and began watching my shows that evening. This is typical Eric weekends but it all fell into place nicely this weekend. It was great!
Disney Depressing-Who Knew?
So I saw Bridge to Terabithia this weekend and I never read the book in school. It was not quite what I expected-stop reading now if you don't want this ruined for you. The girl died! I cried from her wake until the end! I was surprised Disney dealt with death like this. It was definitely not a warm and fuzzy feeling until the very end when the main boy gave his secret world to his sister. I had different expectations for what I thought the movie was about but was pleased with the sad ending. It was nice to have a good little cry.
